The Podcast & Bonus Creative Challenge Recordings

21st Century Creative logoI’m producing the 21st Century Creative Podcast in seasons of 10 episodes. During a season, I’ll send you a new episode of the show every Monday.

At the end of each show, I invite my guest to set you a Creative Challenge to be completed by midnight US Pacific time on the Friday after the show.

To enter the Creative Challenge, follow the instructions I’ll give you at the end of the show, and leave a comment on the blog post for that show (I’ll give you the link) by the deadline.

Once the comments are closed, I’ll record a special audio recording with my feedback on your comments, and what we can all learn from the challenge.

This recording is exclusive to the 21st Century Creative mailing list – it won’t appear on the iTunes podcast feed, and the only way to get it is via the list (don’t worry, you’re on the list if you’re reading this page).

The 21st Century Creative Foundation Course

The first two lessons of The 21st Century Creative Foundation Course will invite you to look at the big picture of your career as a creative professional, and explain why following your dreams is not only fulfilling but also a smart career move.

Following on from that, we’ll cover the professional skills and knowledge you’ll need for a creative career that’s successful and rewarding – in every sense:

How the Foundation Course works

There are 26 lessons in The 21st Century Creative Foundation course, delivered as follows:

  • Lessons 1-10: once a week
  • Lessons 11-26: every two weeks

This schedule is based on feedback from students, who asked for the later lessons to be spaced out to allow more time to absorb them.

Each lesson will be sent to you via email and includes:

  • An article explaining the what, why and how of the topic
  • A practical worksheet for you to download and complete
  • Links to extra resources – articles, books, ebooks etc
  • When the lesson arrives, read through it and think about how the ideas apply to you.
  • Then download the worksheet and complete it – it will prompt you to think about your own situation and take action to improve your knowledge and skills.
  • Finally, look through the list of resources and make use of any that appeal to you.

The course is designed as a springboard to action – you will get much more out of it if you make use of the suggestions in the lesson and worksheet, and do something new each week, to develop your abilities. That’s why there’s a gap between the lessons.

Keep the lessons for reference – You may want to refer back to earlier lessons, so it’s a good idea to either store the lesson emails in a separate folder, or bookmark the lesson pages.
