Excellent. Close to my heart here. Great list of Mark’s too. I was an active member of the Economic Cultural Initiatives our Lt. Governor founded in Louisiana. It is true, the ROI on the arts can drive an economy. It’s the power of compounding, amplifying, that makes it work so well.

While creating art, marketing and running the business all at the same time IS indeed very difficult, so is everything worth doing. One thing I love about the downturn is what you’ve pointed out here: a marked upswing in people taking on that challenge. It’s why I’ve been writing lately about how, in the absence of easy money, what we’ll build in the coming decade will be REAL wealth. I’m in favor of it
