Of *course* the people in the audience say "we already give our people Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose!". But would their employees agree?

Thanks for this post. I love Dan Pink's books and am really looking forward to reading Drive. I especially like what he shared in question #5. I used to work with kids a lot and so this idea of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation was big. I love the idea of looking at it from the lens of autonomy, mastery and purpose. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for this interview,

I really appreciate the kind of work that Dan is doing, and will probably get all the books you mentioned. I knew Dan from his talk at the TED conference, but didn't realize that he had all these books out. Actually a friend of mine from a university career center had already told me about Johnny Bunko, so it's good to know that his message is getting to the right people.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for this great interview... I didn't know about Drive and will be pre-ordering it. I will also link this interview to my website/blog and an article I just @ What is My Purpose.

Thank you Lateral Action for sharing and creating and following your own intrinsic motivation - it feeds and serves us all!

All the best!

As Hashim also commented, I've heard of Dan Pink but never had a chance to see a good review on any of his works until now. Thank you Mark for posting this interview as I'm know putting this book on my wish list for next week. --Paul

I've heard of Free Agent Nation, but didn't know what it was about or that it tied into a larger body of work. I think Dan Pink is working on exactly what I need to figure out right now.

My work ethic has always been what I call old school artisan, so the ideas of mastery and purpose really resonate (autonomy is a given).

Interesting stuff. I'm looking forward to the book release.

Thank you for featuring this. I love Dan Pink's work and I look forward to reading his latest book when it comes out. His books are great for anyone at any age, but I found it especially interesting and motivating to read as a 24-year-old professional who is still trying to figure out exactly what strain of the writing profession will lead to ultimate happiness. Great interview!
